Since the beginning of 1999, VIDECART has formed a part of the NEWARK Group which is headquarted in the United States and specialises in the recovery, manufacture and transformation of recycled paper and cardboard.

The NEWARK Group has 62 plants in the US that produce 3,500 tons of recycled cardboard on a daily basis.  Its total sales for 1998 amounted to 800 million dollars (698 million euros).  Added to this are the 6 plants acquired from the SAN ANDRES GROUP, with 5 located in Spain and 1 in France, whose overall business turnover comes to 104 million dollars (90.4 million euros).

UNITED STATES GROUP

  • RECYCLING DIVISION

    • Collects and classifies more than 2.5 million Tm/year of paper and cardboard, which accounts for slightly more than 5% of the paper recovered in the United States.
  • PAPER AND CARDBOARD MANUFACTURING DIVISION

    • Produces more than 1.3 million Tm of recycled cardboard, of which approximately 400,000 Tm is secondary fibre paperboard used in the manufacture of fold-up boxes.
  • BCI BOOK COVERS 

    • Manufactures and commercialises coverboards for diverse markets including book publishing, board games, folder supplies, etc.
  • NEWARK PAPERBOARD PRODUCTS DIVISION 

    • Supplies tubes and cores used in diverse sectors, offering a wide range of packaging products and services.

 

 
 


EUROPE GROUP

  • NEWARK SAN ANDRES

    • Located in Villava (Navarra), it manufactures approximately 105,000 Tm per year of compact cardboard, whose weights range between 200 and 700 gr./m2, used mainly in the manufacture of packaging and cores.
  • NEWARK CATALANA 

    • Located in Alcover (Tarragona), it manufactures cardboard in different grades and weights, used mainly by the graphic arts sector for laminated products such as book covers, hard covers, etc.

    PACKAGING COMPANIES

  • VIDECART, S.A. 

    • Located in Ibiricu de Egüés (Navarra).  It manufactures sold cardboard boxes for the food products industry, trays for smoked foods and pastry products, packaging for agricultural food products, printed cardboard for binding, etc.  Its installations cover 18,000 m2.
  • PAPERSA 

    • Located in Barcelona, it manufactures packaging for agriculture and cardboard boxes for food products.  It also functions as a logistics warehouse for our clients in Catalonia.  It has installations measuring 14,000 m2.
  • ADL
    Located in Brittany, France.  It manufactures packaging for pastry companies and cardboard-aluminium sheets for smoked fish cases.  Its installation measure 4,500 m2.
  • FIBOR PACKGAGING
    Located in Zutphen in the Netherlands, it is specialised in the development, production, and sales of solid paperboard. The company is active on the European market for more than 65 years. With 115 employees the annual output has grown to a volume of more than 40.000 tonnage to be sold as boxes in the fruit, vegetable, fish, poultry and meat market, as sheets to converters and a large number of industries.
